The Records Division at Plymouth Township Police Department manages information for all calls for police service. 

We provide information, reports, and services to law enforcement agencies and the public.

Obtaining a Copy of a Police Report

In person       

Reports are available 8:30AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday. You may pay for your report by cash, check, money order, or most major credit/debit cards.

Some reports are not available for release. Please call ahead to check the status of the requested report, at 610-279-1900.

By mail

Please download the requested report form from this page or follow the directions for making a written request.  Reports are available for download in Adobe Format below.

All police reports are $15.00. Make checks payable to Plymouth Township at the following address:

NOTE:  Certain information pertaining to persons named in reports may be obscured from a printed copy of the report to protect the privacy of individuals involved.

Parents or legal guardians may only obtain information regarding minors, in person. Please contact the Records Unit for more information.

Reports that are part of a pending investigation may not be available.

Accident Report

In person       

Reports are available 8:30AM-4:00PM., Monday-Friday, to parties named in the accident report. You may pay for your report by cash, check, money order, or most major credit/debit cards.

Some reports are not available for release. Please call ahead to check the status of the requested report, at 610-279-1900.

By mail

To obtain an accident report, fill out the Accident Report Request Form (click here for a downloadable version) to print out at home and return it to the department or pick-up a form in the police lobby. Reports are available to parties named in the accident report.

Forms may be picked up and dropped off 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Records Unit will receive your request on the following business day and will contact you when the report is ready to be picked up.

We will need a number where we may contact you between the hours of 8AM and 4PM, Monday-Friday. Please allow at least 2 business days for your request to be processed. 

You may also mail the Accident Report Request Form (download here) or a written request to receive a copy of an accident report by mail.

Your written request MUST include the date and location of the accident, your name, address, and a phone number where we can contact you between the hours of 8AM and 4PM, Monday-Friday, the accident report number, if available, and your signature.

Include a non-refundable check or money order with your request and a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

To maintain the privacy of persons involved, we DO NOT fax reports.

Incident Report

To obtain an incident report, fill out the Incident Report Request Form (click here for a downloadable version) to print out at home and return it to the department or pick-up a form in the police lobby.

Concealed Weapons Permit

Contact the sheriff’s office, located on the first floor of the Montgomery County Courthouse, Swede and Airy Streets, Norristown, PA, to apply for a “concealed weapons permit”.

In the information you receive from the Sheriff’s office, you will find a card for a local police check. Fill out the top of the local police check and drop it off at the Plymouth Township Police Department, Monday-Friday, 8-4.

Generally, records checks will be completed and ready for release by 1:00PM the following day. NOTE:  You must appear in person to pick-up a records check. This will not be given to anyone other than the person for whom the check was completed.

Other Services

 

Other services the Police Department provides to the residents and visitors of Plymouth Township include preparing a “Letter of Good Conduct” or other similar record checks for individuals seeking certain types of employment, students traveling abroad and adults who wish to adopt a child.

Please call or email the Records Unit for more information between the hours of 8AM and 4PM, Monday-Friday, at 610-279-1900 or by email.

The services named above are typically performed at no cost to the requestor; however, please allow 2 business days for your request to be processed.
