The Plymouth Township Police Department’s Community
Policing Unit was formed in 2001 in response to growing needs from the Plymouth
Community.
Its Primary goal is to establish a collaborative effort
between the police and Plymouth community (schools, citizens, groups and
businesses) in which we work together to identify and solve community problems.
While our focus is primarily on crime control, prevention
and education issues, the Community Policing Unit also works with the community
to develop new and innovative programs that will step outside the traditional
norms of policing, helping to bring our community into a new and better
tomorrow.
The Community Policing Unit is prepared to meet any challenge and it is
reflected through our high level of commitment, training and fitness.
